Aluminum Patio Covers
Modern Design for Your Outdoor Living Area
When it comes to enhancing your outdoor living space, installing a patio cover is a smart decision. Not only does it provide shade and protection from the elements, but it also adds aesthetic appeal and increases the overall value of your property. Splash Pools is now an authorized contractor for the 4K Aluminum patio covers and pergolas. In this article, we will share the benefits of aluminum patio covers compared to their steel counterparts, helping you make an informed decision for your outdoor oasis.
Customization and Design Options:
Aluminum patio covers offer a wide range of customization and design options to suit your specific preferences and architectural style. Aluminum can be easily shaped, cut, and formed into various designs, allowing for flexibility and creativity. In addition, the 4K Aluminum structures can span 20 to 33’ without extra support because of their extruded beam connector that adds strength. This allows us to have longer cantilevers than what is possible with steel.
There are many different design options for your aluminum patio cover with the 4K Pergo-Soleil™ Panels. These decorative panels are thick aluminum sheets that are laser cut in many designs and are powder coated (with multiple color options) with a 20-year warranty.
Unlike steel, there are no miter joints showing exposed aluminum and some designs do not show any screws.
Durability and Longevity:
Aluminum patio covers are renowned for their exceptional durability. Aluminum is naturally resistant to corrosion, rust, and rot, making it a perfect choice for outdoor applications. It withstands harsh weather conditions, including rain, snow, and intense sunlight, without deteriorating over time. Steel, on the other hand, is susceptible to rust and may require regular maintenance to prevent corrosion. While steel can be coated to improve its durability, it generally requires more upkeep compared to aluminum.
Lightweight and Easy Installation:
One of the significant advantages of aluminum patio covers is their lightweight nature. Aluminum is significantly lighter than steel, making it easier to handle during installation. The lightweight characteristic of aluminum allows for faster and simpler installation, reducing labor costs and potential disruption to your outdoor area. Steel, being heavier, may require more manpower and time for proper installation.
Low Maintenance and Cost-Effectiveness:
Aluminum patio covers require minimal maintenance compared to steel. Thanks to its resistance to rust and corrosion, aluminum does not need to be painted or treated regularly. A simple routine cleaning with soap and water is usually sufficient to maintain its appearance. Moreover, aluminum is a cost-effective choice during initial construction and in the long run, as it typically requires fewer repairs and replacements over time, saving you money on maintenance expenses.
Energy Efficiency and Heat Dissipation:
Aluminum is an excellent heat conductor, making it an energy-efficient option for patio covers. It effectively dissipates heat, helping to keep your outdoor area cooler during hot summer months. Steel, on the other hand, tends to absorb and retain heat, which can make your patio uncomfortably warm. Aluminum patio covers allow you to enjoy the outdoors without excessive heat buildup, making them ideal for regions with high temperatures.
We are excited to work with the 4K Aluminum products and cannot wait to build these outdoor structures for our homeowners. With a modern aluminum patio cover or pergola, you can create an inviting and comfortable outdoor retreat that will be enjoyed for years to come.
